Arrival

You will have to inform us about your arrival details in the online registration form. If there are any late changes, please don't forget to let us know! You can arrive at the airport or at the bus and train station (same place) and we will greet you.

Transportation to the hotel is organized so don’t worry about it. Just let us know of any exceptions such as excess baggage, special requirements for disabled people etc…

On arrival you will be greeted by our lovely volunteers from IAESTE Macedonia, suitably dressed for easy recognition.

How to get to Skopje

You can arrive in Skopje, the capital of R. Macedonia, in several ways.

By plane

Skopje's airport, Aleksandar Makedonski International Airport (Alexander the Great) (IATA: SKP), is 20km from Skopje. Cities that are connected to Skopje are: Ljubljana, Milan, Vienna, Sarajevo, Sofia, Split, Zagreb, Prague, Cologne, Bonn, Zurich, Belgrade, Ohrid, Dusseldorf, Budapest, Amsterdam, Berlin, Copenhagen, Hamburg, Istanbul, Paris, and Rome. Airlines that serve Skopje are: MAT(Macedonian Airlines), Adria Airways, MALEV, Austrian Airlines, Cirrus, Alitalia, B&H Airlines, Croatia Airlines, Czech Airlines, Helvetic Airways, Jat Airways, LTU International, and Turkish Airlines. The airport is accessed by the main highway Belgrade-Skopje-Thessaloniki which connects it directly with the city. Unfortunately there is no public transport that connects the airport with Skopje but IAESTE Macedonia will provide transport for you.

By train

Daily trains run between Skopje and Belgrade, Serbia (9 hours) and Thessaloniki, Greece (5 hours). If you come from Greece don't forget that Greece is in different time zone than Macedonia. The transport from the train station will be provided by IAESTE Macedonia.

Belgrade to Skopje

When you arrive in Belgrade, go to the main train station and take a train to Skopje. Check the timetable here.

By bus

There are buses to Skopje from Sofia, Pristina, Belgrade, Thessaloniki (Mon. and Wed. only), Istanbul, Zagreb, Austria, Germany, Dubrovnik, Tirana, and Podgorica. The buses arrive in the bus station which is below the train station. All the domestic and international buses arrive in the bus station. IAESTE Macedonia will provide transport for you from the bus station to the hotel.

Belgrade to Skopje

When you arrive in Belgrade, go to the main bus station and take a bus to Skopje. Check the timetable here.
