Seminar for training and motivation (STM)
Spring is the best time to recruit new member in the IAESTE rows and spread the
IAESTE spirit. After the enhanced spring campaign for new members which take
place through presentations and working groups on all the faculties, as a cherry
on the top follows the first unforgettable IAESTE experience- Seminar for
training and motivation. In other words, the experienced and the new members
gather in two days in on place, in the nature, at a nice location in Macedonia,
in the name of IAESTE spirit. From different team-building games, working groups
on introducing the basic activities of IAESTE, exchanging experiences on how
IAESTE functions and the internships in the foreign, an introduction on how the
summer reception functions, planning the weekends of the summer reception,
brainstorming for promoting the organization and increasing the budget, ending
with the big party over an open sky, for many members STM is the first turning
step in IAESTE. In organizing and logistics of the STM, equally the experienced
and the new members are included, because everybody has an equal part of IAESTE
from the first arrival.
IAESTE Day
„IAESTE Day” is a yearly global promoting event for IAESTE also on extending and
the continuation and deepening the contacts with the companies, universities,
student and cooperators of IAESTE in general. The motto for this day is :
„Global Party for Global Players“ . All the national comities from all around
the world are invited to join this great fun and commemorate and disseminate the
idea of the organization on their own specific way. Iaeste Day is usually held
on the third Thursday of October –a real time for fun, Whereas, the members are
still incurred and full of enthusiasm from the wonderful summer that has
undergone the internship they had and socializing with foreign trainees within
the summer reception. IAESTE Macedonia doesn’t forget to mark this day through
unusual and fun activities in which try to include the employers and its
associates. Some examples of the last years”: An Exhibition of memorabilia that
the members got from their adventures across the countries visited, an
international evening on which every member presents the cuisine and culture of
the country he had his internship at, a football match between the members and
the iaeste friends club, the known dance of iaeste under an open sky on
different known locations in the city…. The imagination is the only limit…
IAESTE Night - International Evening
In-between the many events which fill the summer for the foreign students
through their stay in Macedonia, the International evening is the most exciting
and most interesting. It’s a one kind of an international party that every
trainee has the chance to represent his home land culture on an original way. Of
course, the traditional table of each country is something that this kind of
evenings cant pass without, for a more cheerful atmosphere all countries sing
and dance traditional songs and dances, their employers also join them. A real
challenge for IAESTE Macedonia is the organizing part itself which means:
contact with the media, provision of finance, creating a program and a
preparation of the trainees, inviting the guests and the most important, many
cooking skills
National Assembly
The National Assembly is the highest body of IAESTE Macedonia and stands for Gathering of all the full members of IAESTE Macedonia. It takes place as necessary but at least once annually on the third Saturday of December.
The Annual meeting of the National Assembly in the third week of December is an event of utmost importance for IAESTE Macedonia.
It consists official and unofficial part.
In the unofficial part the full members of the local comities discuss upon specific topics and areas of the function of IAESTE Macedonia through working groups (finance, marketing, job raising and providing professional practices, motivation of new members, organizing events, cooperation with external factors, etc).
In the formal part (in a form of an assembly) important decisions on the work of IAESTE Macedonia which are the responsibility of the Assembly are made. The annual plan of activities for next year is adopted; the income and outcome in the current year are audited and the budget for the next year is approved; the delegation for General Conference chosen by the National Board is confirmed and the National Secretary for the next year is elected; legal issues and changes in official documents are discussed and carried out on previously submitted proposals; recommendations and decisions are made for: the development of IAESTE Macedonia, the internal structure and the coordination between local comities.
