Join a summer to remember!

It is our pleasure to invite you to participate in the unique summer program organized by our team. A traineeship in Macedonia is a great opportunity to gain more experiences and knowledge and we hope that your stay in Macedonia will be interesting, worthwhile and useful.

Apart from performing your practical training, you will take full advantage of the exclusive opportunity to explore Macedonia, experience our culture and our way of life. We hope that you will be satisfied with your job and your employer, as we also hope that the employer will be satisfied by your work.

We are glad that you are considering Macedonia as your choice and we would like to assure you that if you come to Macedonia for your internship, it will become your lifetime unforgettable memory. Application

If you are considering to be a trainee in Macedonia, first of all you have to contact your National IAESTE committee. When you are granted the offer you were interested in, please make sure that you have all necessary documents provided before applying. We will make sure that you would receive the reply from the employer as soon as possible. If you are accepted, you will receive the N5a form which is a document that proves that you have been accepted for an IAESTE internship.

Residence permit and visa

In order to accomplish an internship in Macedonia you don’t need a work permit, but you do need a residence permit which will be provided by IAESTE Macedonia. The necessary documents will be provided by the employer, but we need you to send us a copy of your valid passport.

If you are a citizen of the following countries, you DO NOT need a visa for a stay up to 90 days: European Union member countries, Australia, Argentina, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, Botswana, Canada, Croatia, Island, Israel, Japan, Malaysia (only for 30 days), Mexico, Montenegro, Norway, Serbia, Switzerland, Turkey, United States.

For all other countries, we will provide an invitation letter, but you will have to apply for a visa in the nearest Macedonian embassy. For more information, please contact us or check out the website of the Macedonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Accommodation

IAESTE provides the accommodation for all the trainees in student dormitories, which are reasonably inexpensive. Because of the comments of previous trainees in Macedonia, we make sure that all the trainees are accommodated in the same place so you would be able to spend more time with the other trainees like you and get to know each other better.
